Hello, thanks for visiting my homepage and your interest in my work.
Zach Solan is my name, PhD in physics from the Tel-Aviv University, a freelance algorithm developer in the fields of Machine Learning, Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing.
My business offers algorithm development services for companies operating in this domain. My field of expertise is developing and applying methods for extracting hidden rules from data in supervised and unsupervised manners.
Highlights from my previous work
The Origin of Human Language (2002): In this study I examined the role of fitness, commonly assumed without proof to be conferred by the mastery of language, in shaping the dynamics of language evolution.
Associative Networks The aim of this unpublished study was to develop graph models representing words and their relationships (associations)
IntelliZap (2001): A client-server paradigm uses the context around a text highlighted by the user to improve the related text search results.
Similarity in perception (1988): A neural model of similarity perception in identification tasks. It is based on self-organizing maps and population coding examined through different identification experiments.
My site is currently under construction, soon more resources will be available.
